I don’t know you Jarvis, but I love you.

February 25, 2010

It is rainy and gross out in Maine right now, so here is my imaginary outing kit. I am wearing my grumpy pants right now.

Grumpy pants imaginary outside adventure kit contains: 1. Doggie sleeping bag! I do not like cold toes! 2. Camo face paint. Featured is the Woodland Camo collection. Jungle Camo is a bit dark for my complection. 3. Field Notes. I just love these little notebooks. I have the memory of an elderly woodchuck, so I like to write things down! 4. Best Made Filla Bluster Ax. I will use this to compete in ax tossing competitions if I bump into any lumberjacks on my imaginary adventure. And the polka dots are totally me! 5. Audubon bird call. I will use this whistle to attract songbirds in case my ipod breaks down. 6. Houndstooth Dog Tent. Made out of biodegradable plastic, this little gem will keep me dry in the rain! 7. The Call of the Wild. This reading will make me feel vicious on my imaginary adventure! 8. Thermos. I will fill this with bacon water! 9. Wellies. Set of 4 please! These are a must in this rain!

Aunt Alice’s new look book is live (it was styled by cousin Iggy of course.)!  These are my favorites below. I hope she can modify everything to fit me since I’m not really a standard size.

Cousin Iggy is a model!!!!

How handsome is he? Apparently he was styling this shoot for Aunt Alice’s new look book. So sophisticated.

What else are pretty shoes for?

Happy last week of February! I hope you had a very nice weekend. I did! I made Ben chip sandwiches for his birthday, I monitored a couple baking sessions:

I did a touch of vacuuming:

and a touch of sunbathing:

and, of course, I squeezed in a couple trips to Winslow Park:

Spring was in the air all weekend! I loved it!

Happy Weekend! Since it is My human, Ben’s, birthday this weekend, I am serving his favorite dish:

Yuuuuuum! Pop on over if you’re in our neck of the woods!

February 19, 2010

Oh, I love all the Maine LL Beaniness here. So excited for the new signature collection. I wonder if they will make anything with an extra wide waistband and extra short inseam? Oh, and a little area for my nubbin tail would be nice too.

February 18, 2010

You are the best little guy EVER! I hope you are alive in there. I found this little gent while looking at these funny little humans who I’d like to nibble:

Such a great idea from Molly Mutt! You just unroll, stuff, admire, and sleep. I think I need one these for traveling. Wait a minute…I don’t sleep on the floor! That was crazy talk. I would definitely get these for my friends who don’t have humans who smother them and treat them humans though!

February 18, 2010

Carrot cupcake toppers! Such a great idea to top pupcakes with!!! Healthy for my pals and me! Why didn’t I think of this? I am going to make lots of carrot shapes. Great for Halloween pupcakes! Wait, I am not allowed to use the sharp knife…the humans will have to help I guess. Thanks Beverly Hsu.

Poupou Royal. Awesome.

Holy Moly! Look at these feather dogs by Emily Valentine! I like them a little and they scare me a little.

Oh, and that Emily Valentine is not to be confused with this Emily Valentine from 90210:

90210 Emily Valentine drugged Brandon with Euphoria and tried to set fire to the Beverly Hills High parade float. She was very bad.

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend! I had lots of fun over the past few days and spent tons of time with some of my best pals!

This is cousin Oscar:

He is WAY more daring than me! This is me watching him run and soaking up some of the pretty views and smells of Winslow Park:

This is me on Sunday power walking with my gal pals Taco and Curry:

They tend to leave me behind sometimes, but that’s ok, I get more time to butter up the humans for cookies!

On Sunday night, Meghan and Ben got to chillax with my pal Lois. She is so pretty! I want to keep a picture of her tooth in a locket to hang from my collar.

Oh, and I can’t forget this little guy who I parked next to at Home Depot yesterday:

Way too cute!!!

Happy Long Weekend! Talk soon!

Some festive suggestions for hound and human to enjoy together over the next few days…

Yes, that is a dog collar with built in bottle opener!! Tacky or awesome? Not sure. Below are some accompaniments for the human.

I like this selection because it is a little Maine and a little England, just like me!

and I like these selections because their labels are rad:

Good morn! I have a very serious crush on the DIY adorableness at Benign Objects this morning!

Maybe I will make a nice gift for my gal pal sophie! This is us doing our pre breakfast stretches this morning:

February 11, 2010

love the Charlybox! Someone needs to plan a camping trip!

February 11, 2010

This is me and my pal Sophie:

I am babysitting her right now while her parents, Pat and Fred, are on vaca. Sophie can’t hear or see because she is old, but she has a lot of spirit! I like that about her. She has taught me how to lick the dirty dishwasher door when it’s open because there are a lot of overlooked treats stuck on there, to knock the trash cans over, to beg for food without appearing to be begging, and best of all: how to bark at nothing at all. Very liberating. She also lets me lick her nostrils and toes. Oh, and she lets me talk about me for hours and doesn’t tell me I’m narcissistic. Friends who can’t hear are the best!

This is me innocently waiting for the dishwasher to open to score some nibblets:

I feel alive when I’m with Sophie. Our friendship reminds me of the relationship between Royal and Ari and Uzi Tenenbaum when he teaches them about “putting a brick through the other guy’s windshield…taking it out and chopping it up.”

February 11, 2010

I would love to sit with any human in this amazing Ritter Furniture love seat! It would be a Valentine’s Day dream come true.

February 11, 2010

Adorable. I love to sniff crayons. Sniffing crayons is my favorite. This is the crayon holster of my dreams:

Bow Ties!

February 10, 2010

Love these bulldogs wearing Alexander Olch bow ties!

They remind me of my grandfather Big Mike! He LOVES bow ties! Especially if they’re from David Wood right here in Maine!

I also like these little party bow ties:

I should host a dog and human bow tie party!! Good idea gert!

And while I am on the subject of parties and dog models…Olive Harris is a pretty model too:

You can book her here.

And her dad, Randi Brookman Harris, gives me lots of party ideas!!!

February 10, 2010

Cuuuute! I want to give this little cake topper a big gertie kiss! I could easily make this as a carob based layer cake with yogurt or cream cheese frosting! Hmmm…a bacon lard creamy center would be good too. I think that might make the vet mad at me. A little slice wouldn’t hurt though.

February 10, 2010

because I was caught drinking out of Meghan’s water glass in the middle of the night last night (yes, this is a true story) and the amazing people at thedieline posted these this morning and because they are so cute and because they are perfect for valentine’s day and because they would be great for pooch parties…I give you…

ABC Paper Cups! Fun!!!

Theses mugs are pretty cute for Valentine’s day too:

Perfect to sip my bacon coffee out of!!

February 9, 2010

Good night! Don’t forget that issue 3 launches tomorrow!! Can’t wait! I leave you with these very stylish trench coats to dream about:

February 9, 2010

I have been doing a lot of brainstorming lately about hosting dog birthday parties and paw mitzvahs. Today, I got very inspired by Amy Atlas! I think I could apply a lot of her designs to my doggie ideas. I am thinking lower tables, lots of carob, rawhide, bacon, and I’m in business!
