Daytrip Society is one if the best stores in all of Maine and I am rolling around on my keyboard with excitement right now over the winter homepage on their website! Love the vintage Maine yumminess! I might need to take a daytrip to Kennebunkport this weekend! They have fun stuff for pups and humans!

And if all that wintery cuteness chapped your nostrils, you might like this

My snout is all set right now, but I think that little model on the lid is pretty darn handsome.

Good morning! Sorry I have been MIA. This is what I have been doing over the past few days:

I think I learned a trick. Ok, it’s not a trick, but I am sitting up. It’s funny. Kind of.

I developed a new top secret cookie recipe for all my furry pals:

I will reveal what it is shortly! Some of my human buddies think they are yummy too!

I got to have TWO of my best freinds over, Curry and Taco! Their names make me hungry!! Look, they love snow just like me!!

This is me unwinding after my pals left:

Yes, I was reading US Weekly and licking the remote. Did I just hear someone call me trashy? Totally offended.

This is me having deep thoughts at Winslow Park:

And this is me now (I decided to refuse to get out of bed this morning):

I hope you are able to max and relax today too! It’s the best!

Totally awesome or totally scary? Not sure, but pretty amazing…

You can experience more poodleriffic awesomeness here. Thank you aunt Stephanie for that submission! We thought your specialties were Shakespeare and post-Colonial literature, not TMZ?

Oh, and my other aunt, Alice, suggested Remodelista, which I am am now obsessed with. I love these bowls:

and Meghan loves this light:

Oh boy! How perfect is this for a Friday morning find! Even his little collar is studded. Perfect.

Oh, and Sharkey and Francesca…my love runneth over.

January 21, 2010

I would probably get laughed out of Maine if I was seen traveling in one of these Marco Morosini luxery dog houses, but my inner upper east side can’t help but love them!

And...I watched this again last night...twice. Kills me every time!

Cute and Chewy! (From Gino the Dog)

January 19, 2010

A few things I love this morning:

1. Eco-friendly Sun Moon Lake Blankets. These are cute and perfect for getting snugly on cold winter nights!

2. Woofy! Cutest way to hide cords EVER!

Apparently the ladies love Woofy too! You can see Woofy travel the world here.

3. Gertie = little, English and my favorite color is pink. Mini Cooper = little, English and pink. Gertie + Mini = love.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I woke up to this today…

ok, so that is totally not me! That is my stunt bulldog, fluffy. She sat in on that photo for because I was too cold for pictures this morning. It is very snowy and cold here in Maine!

And this is my weekend photo recap…

This is me inspecting the town dock. I did a full lobster trap sniffdown and licked almost all of the boats. They taste salty! Yum!

And this is me on one of my regular visits to Winslow Park…

I love you Winslow Park and I love you person who built the weird squirrel table and chair in the tree and I love you nice people who come and take care of the poop trash!

So I know the whole mustache movement is getting a little tired, but I recently came across these dog toys and couldn’t resist offering a few suggestions for hound and human…

1. humunga stache fetch toy (for the pooch or maybe a huge baby or something) 2. mustache mug (for the human OR dogs like me who can secretly drink for bedside water glasses in the middle of the night. I am offended if anyone is saying gross right now!) 3. jack spade mustache gloves (for the human or weird mutant long toed canine I guess) 4. mustache ornament (could double nicely as a collar charm or key ring) 5. jonathan adler salvador vase (cute for any occasion and species) 6. twig and thistle stache bash instructions (for the human and/or furrier breads)

January 18, 2010

Come on! This little Ewok who models for Trixie and Peanut is better than bacon, peanut butter and munchkins all rolled into one! I don’t even wear sweaters to be honest, but these are way too cute! I have a serious crush!

An ewok for comparison:

Gettin’ Trashy

January 14, 2010

Good morning!

This is me refusing to get out of bed this morning. This is becoming my regular routine. I think it’s funny to watch my humans beg me to get up. It’s nice payback for all the times I have begged for food and they refused to share.

Here are some fun trash bags I’d like to share today. Love these biodegradable Super Poop Bags from Olive for the pooches:

Totally rad!! And I love these for the human folk:

These are also biodegradable and compostable and apparently an opportunity for a fashion statement as well. You people are SO weird! These were developed as part of an urban beautification and environmental awareness initiative and are available here.

I also have a cute dog pic I would like to share this morning from the amazing Camilla Engman:

Seriously love that guy!!!!

Have a great Thursday and don’t forget that you can easily text a donation to Haiti by either

texting “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross relief for Haiti

texting “Yele” to 501501, which will automatically donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund

January 13, 2010

This morning we are very sad for the people of Haiti and we urge anyone who can to donate money. We donated here to the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer.

Here is a website by Stephanie Curci that shows some of the history and beauty of Haiti that few people in the world have even seen:

And…2 pups I love from White and Wander:

Best Book EVER!

January 12, 2010

Oh boy! I have loved Catherine Ledner’s work for a couple years now, but her prints are a little out of my doggie budget at the moment, so I just look at them online every few weeks. Here are a few of my favs:

Today my luck has changed though!  I just discovered her amazing new book while reading The Daily Wag and it is amazing!!!! I am running out to buy it tonight after I get all my baking done! Here are a few pics I borrowed from their site:

I am sooooooooo excited!!!

January 11, 2010

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend!

I spent lots of time at one of my favorite places on the planet this weekend: Winslow Park! This is one of those places that makes me really happy to live in Maine!

Sorry, I know that was a lot of pics, but I really love it there! And I know I look like a total princess being carried in a couple of those, but I scraped one of my chubby little meat mitts on the ice and it kind of hurt.

I also spent the weekend dreaming of where I can hang this Scalamandre zebra wallpaper:

I have obsessed over this paper since Wes Anderson featured it in Margo Tenenbaum’s bedroom in The Royal Tenenbaums and recently saw it again in Elle Decor:

Scalamandre has re-released the paper (in 4 different colors I believe) and I have to have it!!! I am working on it now! I will sell myself on the streets if I have to! (not sure there is a big market for this in Freeport, Maine, but who knows) Yippee!!!

Actually, I think I was somewhat wall obsessed in general this weekend…on Friday I discovered sabbespot while making my daily stop at designspongeonline, which led me to a: obsess over this space at the RISD Museum of Art she posted:

and b: get really excited to have fun with contact paper! Here is her chevron wall:

I picked up a roll at home depot on Sunday for $6 and I am currently working on a project in my stairwell. So fun! I will reveal it soon! Stay tuned!

My Alter Ego

January 8, 2010

So I have thought about this a lot and I think I have finally chosen the human I would be if I ever had to morph. Iris Apfel! It’s official. I heart her. I think we even share the same motto: “You only have one trip. You might as well enjoy it.”

My humans are planning a trip to see Rare Bird of Fashion: The Irreverent Iris Apfel at The Peabody Essex Museum and I am totally jealous! I am currently trying to squeeze into a little security uniform so I can pretend to be a guard and get into the exhibit. I guess I shouldn’t have failed that therapy dog test. That would have been my ticket to museums everywhere!

Have a great weekend mi furry amigos!

Hello Thursday!

January 7, 2010

I overheard my humans say that I live my life like a teenager with Mononucleosis. I take offense. I just happen to feel really naptastic sometimes…like yesterday…all day…

Oh, and I almost forgot that I wanted to share Found My Animal with you today! Love them!

Happy rest of your Thursday!

January 6, 2010

Happy 2010!! I am very sorry that I stepped away from my blog for so long. I got a little wrapped up in the holiday season and life in general! Here are some highlights from the past few weeks…

On December 21 I turned 3! My humans had a party for me in the car since that is my favorite place to be! It was SO fun!! We drove all around town with our heads out the window (even though it was really cold) and I got to go to the Dunkin Donuts drive thru to get a munchkin! This is me at the drive thru:

My love of munchkins is my dirty little secret, so I had to mask my identity in this picture. I get to have one about once a year and I usually go incognito as to not ruin my gourmet cookie empire.

I can’t believe I’m 3! It seems like just yesterday I was going to my first puppy romper room classes with my humans:

I experienced my first Freeport Christmas in December too, which I loved! Here are some of my decorations and me playing with my new chubby Santa ball (or just taking a nap with him):

I also took lots of toasty warm snoozes by the fireplace over the past few weeks and had recurring dreams of visiting a dude ranch with my best friend Lois….

2010 is going to be an amazing year!
